The State of South Carolina is blessed to have a rich recreational and sporting history.  Each year millions of South Carolinians and hundreds of thousands (if not millions as well) of tourists engage in the recreational and sporting activities this great state has to offer.  These activities encompass all ages, races, and genders. It gives us an arena in which we can come together despite our many differences and enjoy the spirit of competition and the fulfilling spirit of wholesome recreation.

With this diverse recreational and sporting culture in the state, it has been difficult in the past to create a community in which those who participate in these activities and those who make a living through businesses and organizations that promote these activities, can find each other and come together in one forum.  In fact, until now, no such community existed. 

Our mission here at SC Sports Source.Com is to be that community where this can happen.  It is also our mission to bring you content that you won’t find in your local paper or your nightly news cast concerning the sporting and recreational activities of the state.  We seek to bring you the stories of those who fall outside the scope of traditional media in an effort to peel back the layers and bring you fresh information straight from the source, the people themselves.

We also aim to provide you with the most information possible at your finger tips on the web regarding sports and recreation in the state of SC.  If you need to find the SC High School League Website, we can get you there.  If you need to find the Shrine Bowl of the Carolinas website, we can get you there too.  If you want to read the sports pages of the major newspapers in the state of SC and a few from outside the state, then we can help you do that.   If you want to find links to all of the high school websites in the state of SC, then we have them.  If you want to find the links to the all of the Colleges and University athletic sites and links to their respective conferences, we can help you too.  If you can’t remember the date of a specific recreational activity that you wanted to participate in, then maybe our sports calendar can help you.  The list of websites that SC Sports Source.Com can help you find is tremendous.  We will also have the most comprehensive list of businesses and organizations that provide accommodations, services, products, and arenas for sports and recreation in the state.

The scope of what SC Sports Source.Com offers will also continue to grow as more and more people discover the site.  The site will also grow as those who wish to advertise their services continue to join us.  SC Sports Source.Com will continue to introduce new features as well.  Two features that we are currently working on right now are a message board for the purpose of creating a 24 hour 7 day a week interactive community, and secondly, the ability to offer a SC Sports Source.Com merchandise shop in which merchandise that supports and promotes sports and recreation in the state of South Carolina will be sold.

We extend an invitation to all who may read this and who visit this site.  Participate, contribute, and spread the word.  We welcome suggestions for articles. We welcome first hand reports of events from those that attended. We welcome businesses and organizations who wish to advertise their services to the people of SC and others who may be interested. We welcome photographs that people may wish to send in that capture the spirit of sports and recreation in the state of South Carolina, and we sincerely ask that you might spread the word to your family, friends and neighbors regarding this site and our mission, that they too might join us in this community.
